This is my personal contribution to the international illustration contest That’s a mole!
The contest aimes to promote the symbol of the City of Turin, the Mole Antonelliana, asking to participants to fill its shape with an original artwork.
My collage tells the story of a city which is trying to lift its value on the world scene starting from its history.
A history of filmmaking (birthplace of Italian cinema), automotive industry (home of Fiat), sport (host city for the 2006 Winter Olympics), underground creative scene. Everything hugged by mountains and hills.
A panoramic lift is also a major architectural feature, with its transparent crystal cabin which allows to have a clear bird’s-eye view of Turin.
